Ingredients:


3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)


1 cup granulated sugar


1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)


2 large eggs


2 teaspoons vanilla extract


2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour


1 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 teaspoon salt


1 1/2 cups M&M candies (or more for topping)

Instructions:


1. Preheat Oven:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.



2. Cream the Wet Ingredients:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes using an electric mixer.


Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.




3. Mix the Dry Ingredients:

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.



4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.



5. Add M&Ms:

6. Form the Cookies:

Use a large cookie scoop or about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie. Roll them into balls and place them onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.


Press a few additional M&Ms into the tops of the dough balls for a colorful, fun look.




7. Bake:

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft. Be careful not to overbake for the softest result.



8. Cool:
