Ingredients


4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts


3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided


4 garlic cloves, minced


1 cup chicken broth


1/2 cup heavy cream


1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or fresh thyme sprigs)


1/2 teaspoon paprika


Salt and pepper, to taste


2 tablespoons olive oil


Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions


1. Season the Chicken:

Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.



2. Sear the Chicken:

Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.



3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:


In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.


Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.


Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, and thyme. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.




4. Combine Chicken and Sauce:

Return the chicken to the skillet. Spoon the sauce over the chicken and let it simmer for 8-10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C).



5. Serve:

Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted vegetables.
