 Cooking Instructions for Ham

Ham can be cooked in a variety of ways, depending on the type of ham you have (pre-cooked or uncooked) and your desired method. Here are some general guidelines:

   * Remove any packaging.

   * Place ham in a roasting pan.

   * Cover loosely with foil.

   * Heat for 15-20 minutes per pound, or until heated through (internal temperature of 140°F/60°C).

   * Remove foil and glaze if desired.

   * Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

 * Reheating in the Microwave:

   * Remove any packaging.

   * Cover ham loosely with plastic wrap.

   * Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes per pound, or until heated through.

   * Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.

Uncooked Ham:

 * Oven Roasting:

   * Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).

   * Place ham, cut-side down, in a roasting pan.

   * Cover tightly with foil.

   * Bake for 18-23 minutes per pound, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

   * Remove foil and glaze if desired.

   * Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

Glazing Ham (Optional):

 * Remove ham from oven.

 * Spread glaze evenly over the top.

 * Return to oven, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes, or until glaze is set and bubbly.

Important Notes:

 * Always use a meat thermometer to ensure the ham has reached the safe internal temperature.

 * Adjust cooking times based on the size and thickness of the ham.

 * For spiral-sliced hams, follow the specific instructions on the package.

Enjoy your delicious ham!
