 Chewy Chocolate Brownies

Yields: 9-12 brownies

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 25-30 minutes

Ingredients:

 * 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

 * 1 cup granulated sugar

 * 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

 * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 * 2 large eggs

 * 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

 * 1/4 teaspoon salt

 * 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

 * Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.

 * Melt butter and chocolate: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and cocoa powder until smooth. Let cool slightly.

 * Add eggs and vanilla: Stir in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

 * Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.

 * Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

 * Stir in chocolate chips: Stir in the chocolate chips.

 * Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs attached.

 * Cool: Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 30 minutes before cutting and serving.

Tips:

 * For fudgier brownies, underbake them slightly.

 * You can add nuts, such as walnuts or pecans, to the batter.

 * For a richer flavor, use high-quality cocoa powder and semisweet chocolate chips.

 * To make these brownies gluten-free, use gluten-free flour.

Enjoy your delicious homemade brownies!
