Mango Lassi Recipe (Indian Mango Drink)

Chill time: (Optional) 30 minutes

Ingredients:

 * 1 cup ripe mangoes, peeled, pitted, and chopped (or 1 cup canned mango pulp)

 * 1 cup plain yogurt (chilled)

 * 1/2 cup milk (or water)

 * 2-3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

 * 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)

 * Pinch of saffron strands (optional)

 * Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

 * Blend:

   * In a blender, combine mangoes, yogurt, milk (or water), sugar, cardamom powder (if using), and saffron strands (if using).

   * Blend until smooth and frothy.

   * If you like your lassi very cold, add a few ice cubes to the blender and blend again briefly.

 * Serve:

   * Pour the Mango Lassi into chilled glasses.

   * Garnish with chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios) or a sprig of mint (optional).

   * Serve immediately.

Tips & Variations:

 * Mango Selection: Use ripe, juicy mangoes for the best flavor. Alphonso mangoes are a popular choice.

 * Sweetness: Adjust the amount of sugar to your preferred sweetness level.

 * Thicker Lassi: Use less milk or water, or add a spoonful of cream.

 * Thinner Lassi: Add more milk or water.

 * Frozen Mangoes: If using frozen mangoes, let them thaw slightly before blending.
