Classic Meatloaf Recipe
Yields: 6 servings

Ingredients:
* 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
* 1/2 cup chopped onion
* 1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
* 1 egg
* 1/2 cup milk
* 1 cup breadcrumbs
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
* 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
* 1/4 cup ketchup
Instructions:
* Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
* In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion, green bell pepper, egg, milk, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until just combined.
* Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
* Spread ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
* Bake for 1 hour, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the center reads 160°F (71°C).
* Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips:
* For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and ground pork.
* Add your favorite seasonings to the meatloaf mixture, such as Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, or hot sauce.
* Top the meatloaf with a glaze made from ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard.
* Serve the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy, and a side salad.
