Chocolate Peppermint Covered Pretzels

Here’s an easy recipe for Chocolate Peppermint Covered Pretzels—perfect for holidays or a quick sweet treat!

---

Ingredients:

2 cups pretzels (twists or sticks work)

1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips (dairy-free if needed)

1 cup white chocolate chips (optional, dairy-free if needed)

1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)

1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes

---

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Peppermint Crumble:

Place candy canes or peppermint candies in a zip-top bag and crush them using a rolling pin. Set aside.

2. Melt the Chocolate:

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. (Alternatively, use a double boiler on the stovetop.)

If using, stir in the peppermint extract for extra flavor.

3. Dip the Pretzels:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.

Dip each pretzel into the melted chocolate, using a fork to lift it out and tap off excess chocolate. Place the coated pretzels on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Add Crushed Peppermint:

Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the chocolate-covered pretzels before the chocolate sets.

5. Optional: Add a White Chocolate Drizzle:

Melt the white chocolate chips and drizzle over the pretzels using a spoon or piping bag for an extra decorative touch.

6. Set the Chocolate:

Let the pretzels sit at room temperature or place the baking sheet in the fridge for 20-30 minutes until the chocolate hardens.

7. Serve or Store:

Enjoy immediately, or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
