Best S’mores Bars

 Best S’mores Bars are a perfect combination of graham cracker crust, gooey marshmallows, and rich chocolate, all baked into a convenient bar form. Here’s a simple and delicious recipe to make them at home:


Ingredients:


For the crust:


1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs (about 12 full graham crackers, crushed)


1/4 cup granulated sugar


1/2 teaspoon salt


1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted



For the filling:


2 cups mini marshmallows


1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or milk chocolate chips if preferred)


1/2 cup heavy cream



For the topping:


1/2 cup mini marshmallows (for topping)


1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional, for drizzling)



Instructions:


1. Preheat the oven:


Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.


2. Make the crust:


In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and salt.


Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture is well combined and the crumbs are moistened.


Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan, creating an even crust.


Bake for about 10 minutes, until the crust is lightly golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool slightly.



3. Prepare the chocolate filling:


In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer (don’t let it boil).


Remove from heat and add the chocolate chips. Stir until smooth and fully melted, creating a silky chocolate ganache.


Pour the ganache over the baked graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly with a spatula.



4. Add the marshmallows:


Sprinkle the 2 cups of mini marshmallows evenly over the chocolate layer.


Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and puffed up.



5. Top with more marshmallows and chocolate drizzle:


Remove the bars from the oven and immediately sprinkle the top with 1/2 cup more mini marshmallows. For extra chocolatey goodness, drizzle the top with melted chocolate (optional).


Let the bars cool at room temperature for at least 30 minutes. For quicker cooling, refrigerate them for about 15 minutes.



6. Cut and serve:


Once cooled and set, cut into squares or bars and enjoy!
